A Search For Coins
And Other Valuables
Coinshooting... A Road To Rare, Old Coins
The search for coins and other valuables with a metal detector is a pleasant
and often profitable hobby, however, and moreover, a pastime geared to
improve one's search techniques.
Anything that sharpens the use of a person's detector makes easier the search
for larger treasures, and coinshooting does just that. It stimulates thought,
keeps one active, and helps a person to think about the bigger possibilities.
Some of the coins the avid treasure hunter comes up with are worth real money
now and are bound to be worth even more in the future. A coin that is worth
$250 on the numismatic market today, may in ten years, be higher by 25%, 50%, or
even more, each year for 10 years.

Perhaps The Most Amazing Book Ever Written
The Fascination Of Buried Treasure And Lost Mines
Every legend, it has been said, has a basis of fact, and a few “legendary”
treasures have actually been found...
The locations given herein are those generally accepted. In presenting them,
no pretense is made that they are waybills to the treasure.
Most of our southwestern lost mine stories have a background in Spanish mining
activities...
It is a known fact that the Spanish did carry on extensive mining
operations in northern Sonora.
It is almost a certain fact that they engaged in
gold and silver recovery operations in Southern Arizona...
It is hoped that the reading sources given in this work will supply clues to further
reading for those who enjoy treasure hunts.
